Nighttime crash in Brandon leaves person in critical condition

Tampa, Florida:

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the nighttime crash in Brandon. In this case, someone was in critical condition at a local hospital.

At 11:57 p.m. on November 27, 2021, HCSO responded to a collision with three separate vehicles near the intersection of S Kings Avenue and Oakfield Drive in Brandon.

During the search, investigators found the suspect, Alexander Glaubius, 22, speeding south on S Kings Avenue and reaching a traffic light. Glaubius drove a Chevrolet Silverado. The victim, driving a Volkswagen Passat, moved east on Oakfield Drive and turned left at a green arrow north on S Kings Avenue. The other driver of the Mazda Mazdaspeed 3 was walking west on Oakfield Drive and turning left at the green arrow south on S Kings Avenue.


When Volkswagen and Mazda entered the intersection, the assailant jumped into the signal and collided with Volkswagen. The Volkswagen turned around and the victim was kicked out of the car. The victim is currently in critical condition.

After the initial collision, Glaubius continued to drive south when he collided with a Mazda. The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the accident.
Glaubius was taken to hospital. Damage and speed are factored into the collision. Allegations of inconsistency are being further investigated.
