Our November newsletter

It’s hard to believe that this year is quickly coming to a close. As we begin to reflect on the blessings we have had this year, we here at Baird Law Group also recognize this year might not have been the best for some people. Our clients have been injured and are dealing with medical procedures, doctors bills, loss of income, and perhaps life-altering injuries. Thankfully, our clients made the decision to take the fight to the insurance companies. Our clients chose to stand up for their rights.

If it were up to us, we wish our clients would never need our help. Nobody wants to be in pain. Nobody wants to be injured due to the negligence of somebody else. We are extremely thankful and honored that our clients chose our law firm to represent them during this challenging time in their lives.

Our mission is to help our clients with their recovery efforts by making sure the insurance company gives them a fair settlement for their injuries. As we all know, insurance companies want nothing more than to pay as little out-of-pocket as they can.

We would like to highlight a couple cases from this year in which we have helped our clients receive far more compensation money than initially offered to them by the insurance company.

Malfunctioning Elevator

One of our clients was vacationing in Tampa from out of town. They were staying in a high-rise building which had a malfunctioning elevator. Shockingly, the elevator doors opened before they should have, causing our client to be partially crushed inside the elevator shaft. Thankfully, they survived with only moderate injuries. We were able to negotiate a very nice settlement for our client.

VR Injury

Another one of our clients was injured while playing a virtual reality game. A 60 year old woman was visiting a local well known hotel chain when she came across a vendor who was offering a headset style – virtual reality experience. Our client was not given any kind of safety training prior to putting on the VR headset. This being her first time, she became disoriented and fell down, requiring hip surgery and is still dealing with complications today. We were able to secure a great settlement for our client’s medical expenses.

Leaky Roof

Lastly, one of our clients was visiting a local big box store and slipped on a puddle of water on the floor. This particular case is extremely upsetting because the store knew they had a roof leak and refused to address the problem. As you are aware, property owners and managers are required to maintain their property and provide a safe environment for their customers. That’s not what happened, and our client was injured because of the store’s neglect. We were able to secure an extremely generous settlement for our client.

We hate that our clients are injured and are in need of our assistance. But we are thankful we could help provide real compensation for their pain. When going up against these monolithic companies, a qualified and experienced personal injury lawyer makes a huge difference.
